Deed-book packet recorded 6 Dec 1853 (5 PM) in Cherokee County, Texas, Book I, pp. 95–100: includes (a) Texas state patent chain (patent dated 13 Aug 1849; recorded 6 Dec 1853) to Anglin as assignee of James J. Beason with certificate history, and (b) same-day quitclaim conveyance by Valentine S. Anglin (of Anderson Co, TX) to Sermon/Surmon Deen (Cherokee Co, TX) for $320, conveying 320 acres on waters of the Neches River (near Rusk/Cannons Ferry; survey references including McCracken Survey No. 42). Name variants for grantee appear within the packet (Surmon Deens / Surman Deens / Sermon Deen). The packet also includes a related same-day quitclaim (B.C. Thompson→V.S.
